Legacy Habitat Management Ltd can prepare your site by clearance, removal or reduction of vegetation to enable development, enhance habitat and biodiversity or enable infrastructure projects. With a wealth of modern equipment and fully trained and experienced staff at our disposal we can tackle most vegetation removal projects on construction, civils, forestry, brownfield and greenfield sites.
Our Fendt 930 tractor teamed with AHWI M700 Forestry Mulcher can reduce most awkward scrub and vegetation material to a mulch incorporated into the topsoil, removing the need for costly offsite disposal of organic waste. Organic waste vegetation arisings can also be mulched into windrows and then removed from site to green waste composting if required. Having a reverse driving position option allows our operator to target vegetation, sharp end first for safety, accuracy and effectiveness. By mulching directly into topsoils will leave a topsoil substrate in preparation for soil stripping for construction or development, planting, reseeding or re-establishment of more bio-diverse vegetation species.
We can also tackle whole tree clearing projects, or selected species felling, using excavator with tree shears and/or our team of fully trained chainsaw operators. We can arrange for removal of whole timber removal from site or employ onsite tree chipping using our Heizomat whole tree chipper, producing biomass grade wood chip for subsequent removal to biomass facilities, if required. We also operate a large contract, tractor mounted flail and excavator mounted flail head for grass & light scrub reduction.
